Faith that responds
Salvation is by grace through faith, not by human merit. At the same time, the New Testament does not isolate belief from the rest of a person's response to Christ. Scripture speaks of believing, confessing, repenting, and baptism as parts of the gospel response.
This means obedient action is not a competing way to earn salvation. It is the expression of trust in the One who saves.
The object of saving faith is not the believer's performance but God's work in Christ.
Scripture distinguishes believing from other responses such as confession, showing that belief alone should not be treated as the whole response.
Obedient trust responds to what God has revealed rather than merely acknowledging it intellectually.
The Christian life calls for ongoing faithfulness rather than treating conversion as the end of discipleship.
This introduction summarizes themes already present in APOLLOS's grounded salvation material.
